meeting new wonderful people from all over the world

To whom it may concern,

I believe that university is a time for learning, but not only about academics. In my opinion, it is a time for learning about one’s own self. Personal growth and development are key components of the college years and I am glad that Mannheim University helped me in accomplishing these ends. Studying in University of Mannheim was a thoughtful decision for me. I have reached a point in my life where I wanted to see beyond the walls of my own everyday lifestyle and way of thinking and experience something new.

Studying in Mannheim University provides great opportunity for students to learn and experience new things and to sharpen their knowledge. The university offers the perfect environment for students to learn and grow professionally. The courses I studied here introduced me to fields and analytical techniques, many of which are not covered by my course of study back in my country. I have learned a lot of the new perspectives and concepts. The vision, goals and curriculum of Masters in Business Informatics at University of Mannheim was something that I have always wanted to do after my Bachelors in Computer Sciences. This degree offer courses aimed to blend information systems, business informatics, business administration and information technology that further polished my skills.

One of the best things studying in this university is that, they allow students to take courses in different majors and many of which are not offered at their home institutions. We have variety of choices available while selecting different modules. Professors are highly educated and motivated. Their way of teaching is quite impressive. Administration is very helpful not only in educational stuff but regarding every daily-life issues.Apart from studies, the city “Mannheim” is such a pleasant place to live. It gives the opportunity of meeting new wonderful people from all over the world. People here are quite nice and helpful. Studying and living here provided me great opportunities to improve my language skills and immerse into German culture, which I found very fascinating as I acquired great knowledge and understanding of a new culture.

I would really like to thank University of Mannheim for providing me such a nice opportunity to learn and gain knowledge, and Ekkehard Foundation for providing me such a nice apartment to live. I was finding it very difficult to arrange an apartment, and was also having some financial issues. The scholarship offered by Ekkehard Foundation helped me to overcome both of them. I lived in an apartment, which is located in the middle of the city and very close to university. I have met new people and mixed cultural environment here. It is indeed a great opportunity for a student, who holds this scholarship.
